We’re excited to be officially building towards the 2023 Show Me Shorts Film Festival, by announing our official call for entries. Filmmakers can enter the 2023 edition of New Zealand’s biggest short film festival by submitting via Film Freeway.

2022 was Show Me Shorts biggest year yet. Not only did we receive a record number of submissions, but we played more short films in more venues around New Zealand than we had ever done before. Movie Maker Magazine included Show Me Shorts in its list of top short film festivals in the world in 2022, and we’re proud of the international recognition we have in the Film Festival community.

We look forward to watching the next batch of incredible filmmakers show what they’ve been working so hard on. As an Academy Awards® qualifying festival, we’re privileged to watch some of the best shorts in the world each year. We have no doubt that this year’s festival is going to be our best yet.
